How NOT to do Customer Success Example: TeamViewer and Autorenew
Want a good example of a TERRIBLE Customer Success approach? TeamViewer delivered to Joel Wolh, co-founder of the startup networking platform catered towards SMBs Bizfluence, one of the worst customer support experience I’ve ever seen on Twitter.
If you make things easy for the customer and provide flexibility, you earn trust and renewals. If you don’t, you lose additional business from their friends and network.
TeamViewer should hire some startup customer success consultants and consider reforming their automatic renewal options. At the very least, they should not have these sort of policies towards its a key market of tech startups who often have more limited budgets. Their policy hurts small businesses and entrepreneurs the most.
